How do I get started?
You have free access to the sanoMidLife online midlife assessment, symptom relief guide, educational resources, and Sano, our AI-powered virtual health assistant.
To begin, simply set up your account and complete the midlife assessment. Once finished, you’ll be invited to book a 15-minute call with a Health Coach. This call is an opportunity to ask questions and decide whether the full comprehensive care program is the right fit for you.
How long does it take to complete the sanoMidLife Assessment?
Most people complete the sanoMidLife Assessment in 10–20 minutes.
It includes a validated menopause symptom scale, questions about your symptoms, and goal setting, so your care team has a clear picture of what you’re experiencing and what you’d like to improve.
Once you finish, you’ll receive a Symptom Relief Guide with your results, which you can use to guide informed conversations and next steps with your care team.
What’s included in the comprehensive care program?
Here’s what you can expect from your sanoMidLife comprehensive care program:
- Health Coach appointment 1: Review your history, symptoms, and goals, and coordinate bloodwork so your ND visit can focus on decisions, not logistics.
- Bloodwork completed before your first clinician visit: Labs give the full picture and help rule out underlying issues, so your plan treats the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Clinician appointment 1: Comprehensive assessment and your personalized care plan, which may include lifestyle changes, supplements and prescriptions when clinically appropriate.
- Health Coach appointment 2: Walk through your plan together, answer practical questions (including how to follow treatments as directed), and turn recommendations into doable steps around food, movement, and sleep.
- Prescriptions filled: If medications are prescribed, you’ll have clear instructions before starting.
- Short online check-in: Gives your clinician an update on what’s changed so your next visit stays focused and efficient.
- Clinician appointment 2: Review how you’re feeling and adjust your plan as needed.
- Optional Thrive in 12: A guided 12-week group coaching program designed to help you implement your plan with structure and accountability.
Care remains connected across appointments. Decisions are based on both your lab results and how you’re actually feeling.
Additional appointments may be included if sanoMidLife is available to you through your employer or through an individual purchase.
How long is the program?
This care model is designed as a complete care journey, not just a single visit. It includes an initial assessment, a personalized care plan, and a follow-up appointment to review your progress and make any needed adjustments.
Most participants complete their initial program over 10–12 months, depending on how appointments are scheduled. If prescriptions are part of your care plan, they are typically provided for up to 12 months.
If your symptoms change or new concerns arise, additional appointments can be booked at any time. You will always see the fee before scheduling.
After completing the initial program, we recommend reconnecting once a year for a full reassessment, which often aligns with annual benefit resets.
What is Thrive in 12?
Thrive in 12 is a 12-week group coaching program focused on real, sustainable change, not quick fixes. It is included in your comprehensive care program.
What’ included:
- A live 60-minute virtual session each week led by a sanoMidLife Coach
- Practical teaching, guided exercises, and live Q&A
- Recordings of each session, plus downloadable workbook resources to support follow-through
What it covers:
Sleep, movement, nutrition, hormones and energy, nervous system regulation, and metabolic health.
Thrive in 12 runs three times per year and can be joined during or after your care. Participation is optional.
Who are the sanoMidLife clinicians?
Our team includes:
- Nurse Practitioners (NPs) — Medical providers who can assess, diagnose, order tests, and prescribe medications, including hormone therapy when appropriate.
- Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) — Clinicians trained in whole-person care, using nutrition, supplements, and prescribing authority (where applicable) as part of a comprehensive approach.
- Coaches - Are registered nurses (RNs), registered practical nurses (RPNs) or other registered health practitioners, who provide care coordination, education, and continuity throughout your care.
Our clinicians and coaches focus specifically on women’s midlife health, including perimenopause and menopause.
Why would I use sanoMidLife instead of my GP?
sanoMidLife is designed to complement the care you may receive from your GP, or to fill a gap if you do not currently have one.
Our clinicians focus specifically on midlife health and menopause-related concerns. Appointments are longer and more specialized than typical primary care visits, allowing for deeper discussion and individualized planning.
We work alongside the broader healthcare system and can help guide next steps if in-person evaluation or additional services are needed.
Can I access care if I don't have a GP?
Yes. While sanoMidLife focuses on midlife-related concerns, you do not need a GP to access care with us.
If your symptoms require in-person assessment or services outside our scope, we will guide you toward appropriate next steps.
